Earlier this summer, Maisie and I had the opportunity to attend a local workshop where we learned how to wire wrap jewelry. A friend of mine, Philip Graulty, introduced me to his new venture, People’s Pop-Up.

This is a business after my heart.  Being a busy, full-time working mom, time is short for me these days and I love spending time with Maisie on the weekend just being creative – not always art projects ;).

Sharing creative adventures with Maisie is always something I look forward too.  This blog is mostly here for me to document our fun times together and maybe inspire other parents to find ways to share creativity with their kids.

We create “girl dates”.  We explore something around town together and just hang out.  Check out the cool necklace Maisie and I created.  Thank you to Rita Colimon for her patience and great instruction.

When we finished up our workshop we headed to one of our favorite little downtown LA escapes – Grand Park LA.  We parked along the Walt Disney Concert Hall, admired the gorgeous architecture, and wandered over to the park.

A fantastic day to enjoy each other and just be girls – oh and I did mention there is a Starbucks in the park. 🙂

I can’t wait to see what creative adventures are in store for us this fall, it’s my favorite time of year.
