I’m happy to share that I’ve partnered with Woo Jr! Kids Activities to create a series of art projects for kids featuring famous artists.  In these art projects, I’ll be introducing the featured artist and choosing one specific piece of their artwork as an inspiration for each project.

If you’re not familiar with Woo Jr!, this fantastic resource is the creation of well-known blogger and author, Wendy Piersall.

Wendy has recently published a series mandala coloring books for adults.

Adult coloring has been a creative trend on the rise.  Not only for the creative but meditative benefits that can be enjoyed by some down time spent being creative.

Take a look for yourself!

I’m honored to have the privilege to work with Wendy and contribute to Woo Jr!

Each project will focus on sharing specific art tips and techniques including collage, watercolor, and acrylic painting.

These projects are intended to be done with children, but honestly, I think they’re fun for any age.

Here’s what we’ve shared so far:

Watercolor for Kids: Inspired by Kandinsky

Collage For Kids: Painted Tissue Paper Inspired By Eric Carle

Art History For Kids: Mondrian Inspired Tissue Paper Stained Glass

Art History For Kids: Tissue Paper Painting Inspired by Claude Monet

I’m looking forward to creating more – stay tuned!
