Tempera Paint

Tempera paint is hands down the most versatile paint for kids.  You can use it straight from the bottle or water it down to be more like watercolor.  It’s water soluble and that is key for parents.  Easily washable and produces bright, colorful results.

Markers

Markers are a must have!  I highly recommend that with young children you buy washable markers.  Sometimes little ones can be a little too creative with their drawing surfaces.  Protect your sanity and make it easy on yourself for clean up.  Markers are so versatile they can be used in just about any project.

Watercolors

Watercolors are so fun and easy to use!  Simple set up and cleaning up is a snap too.  Children love the bold bright colors and these versatile paints are great for school projects, greeting cards and any quick painting project.

Mixed Media Paper

With paint, you must have paper.  Mixed media paper is thicker than normal drawing pads or plain paper.  This paper will support both wet and dry art materials.  Great for both tempera paint and watercolor.  This is great to have on hand for quick paintings.

Paint Brushes

You must have a good assortment of paint brushes on hand.  This set includes brushes that are good for tempera paint and watercolors.  Having a variety of brushes in different sizes and textures encourages kids to explore their art materials and enhances their creative play.

Drawing Supplies

Pencils and paper are the first art supplies most kids use.  Have an assortment on hand and easily accessible to promote creativity at any time.  Drawing allows children the freedom to express themselves and communicate their ideas and imagination freely.

With these supplies you’ll have no trouble keeping your kids busy making art!
